Your Higness

Fabious from the 2011 film Your Highness
In this movie James Franco plays the role of a knight named Fabious. Fabious is a prince who is first in line to his father's thrown. He also is a very brave knight, and has completed many dangerous quests.
In the "hero pattern" his tale fits nicely, asides from the birth portion. The movie starts at his being a man. He is on a quest to save his bride from an evil sorcerer. He comes across many dangerous tasks like forests and labyrinths full of many dark enemies. He then must defeat the sorcerer himself and his three witch mothers. After this is competed he wins back his love and they, and Fabious's companions, live happily ever after.
I feel Fabious is the greatest hero because of his skill, optimism, and caring attitude. He has lots of fighting experience and has defeated many enemies. And throughout the film he demonstrates great fighting technique. Even though he and his companions come across many bad situations he is always optimistic, and is always joking and smiling. He also believes in his lazy unachieved brother, when nobody else does, and helps him to obtain success and the love of their father. He also risks his life on many occasions so help others in need. Though there have been many great heroes in movie history, Fabious is one of the greatest.

  1. I agree with your choice as a hero Miss. Hinkley! I have not seen this movie, however the previews and from what I've heard, he is a very skilled and optimistic. Your most convincing arguement was when you stated how he is caring by still believing in his brother even though he is lazy and unachieved. Another point that I might add, is that he puts a spin on heroes by also having a humor side. Overall, I think your choice was a good one because it is not an expected choice, but it is a valid one.

  2. I agree with your choice of the greatest hero!!:) The best agrument was that he follows the hero pattern almost exactly because if he follows the hero pattern then he must be a true hero. Also all his characteristics fit that of a good hero. Your choice was a good one..but not as good as mine!
